Concert - Beckingham nr Gainsborough (May 02, 2009)
On Saturday 2nd May 2009, to help raise funds for the All Saints Church, Beckingham nr Gainsborough, a concert was performed by the Lincolnshire Hospitals Band, under the direction of its Musical Director, Susan Shorland ARCM.
The evening was a great success with 140 people attending. A total of £650 was raised, which is to be used for further restoration of the church.
The concert was organised by Tony Thomas and his fellow PCC members in conjunction with the Lincolnshire Hospitals Band,
The Vicar of the Church, Reverend David Henson, who is also incumbent for other local churches at Misterton, Walkeringham and West Stockwith, expressed his delight that so many local people had supported the concert. It is envisaged that one of the above mentioned village churches mentioned will be organising a similar concert next spring, Click here to return to the News page
