Concert for Aileen - St Barnabas Hospice (March 13, 2010)
The Lincolnshire Hospitals Band recently held a Concert in the Lincoln Baptist Church in memory of one of their Congregation, Aileen Bell. Aileen was a visiting Nurse for St Barnabas Hospice based at Gainsborough and a youth leader at Lincoln Baptist Church but died after a sudden illness last Halloween.
Event organiser Peter Vause said the concert had come about because he lived opposite Mrs Bell in Bracebridge Heath and she was such a wonderful person that the band had wanted to celebrate her life
The concert was a resounding success and raised the sum of £889.18. Seen here is the Band Chairman, Tracey Robson, Musical Director, Susan Shorland and Band Members Rachel Ward, Vic Price and Adam Windle, presenting the cheque to Kay Chambers, Fund Raising and Publicity Co-ordinator for St Barnabas."
