Ben Matthews, who was the Band's percussionist before he left us last year to study percussion at the University of Huddersfield, has recently been appointed percussionist of the Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band, one of the leading Championship Bands in the UK. Ben's first big engagement is on Thursday 19th August when he will be playing with the Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band on the BBC Radio 2 programme LISTEN TO THE BAND at 10.30 pm on Thursday 19th August.
