 Approximately 3 years ago Chris used to help the band out when they were short of cornet players, filling in on any Bb position and occasionally Eb, however, 18 months ago she joined the band as their regular Soprano player.
Chris joined the Royal Air Force in 1983, originally as an Aerospace Systems Operator but after a tour in the Falkland Islands she applied for, and was accepted as, an Air Load Master (ALM). Having travelled the world extensively over the years with the RAF, she was then posted to RAF Cranwell as an Instructor at the ALM School. This job also enabled her to be selected as a member of the Battle of Britain Memorial flight, flying on the Dakota.
Having completed 24 years Service, Chris has since left the RAF and has settled in the local area with her husband.
