 Rachel was born in Lincoln in 1985 and has lived there all her life. She started to play her first musical instrument at the age of 12, the violin, which she continues to play to this day. It wasn’t until she got fed up of just listening to her brother play in the band that she taught herself the Soprano Cornet and joined the band nine years ago. She has since moved on to Solo Cornet. In addition to this she also plays trumpet, piano and is a keen singer.
In 2006 she graduated from Bishop Grosseteste University College with a BA (Hons) in Music and Education Studies and went on to complete her PGCE in 2007. She was appointed to her first job in a local primary school where she still works and absolutely loves it!
